CLARY CREEK PRESERVE View Field Map

Warm season grasses, milo, sunflowers, and forbs cover the 530 acres of our Clary Creek Preserve. This preserve is used primarily for hunting liberated pheasants, chukars, and quail. Several coveys of wild quail are located on this preserve allowing us to offer special hunts for these wily birds. Many wild pheasant are located on this preserve and may be taken, if they can be found, by hunters on this preserve. Our 5-Stand Sporting Clays Facility is also located on this Preserve. This facility is used by the majority of our hunters as a warm-up prior to the hunt. In addition, we host individual and group 5-Stand shotgun shoots, as well as provide instructions in wing-shooting. Our on-site certified wing shooting instructor, Robert Kaufmann, will be glad to give you a few pointers to help you "get those hard shots" later in the day. Dr. Bob (yes, he really practiced medicine-he's enjoying his 2nd career now) enjoys teaching wing-shooting to kids and is an instructor for IDNR wing-shooting clinics.

UPLAND GAME PRESERVE View Field Map

Warm season grasses and forbs cover the 250 acres of our Upland Bottoms Preserve which is located 1 ½ miles west from the Clary Creek Preserve. This preserve is used primarily for wild pheasant hunts and South Dakota-style Driven Pheasant Hunts. Only cock pheasants are liberated and harvested on this preserve. Many wild pheasants are located on this property allowing us to offer a rarity in Central Illinois-wild bird hunting where you find "wild" birds.
